    At Elite Canine Academy, we offer private, 1-1 training programs, including behaviour, puppy training and socialization, as well as different levels of obedience training.
  • Do you work with all breeds and ages?
    Yes, we work with dogs of all ages and breeds, tailoring our programs to meet their specific needs.
  • Can you help with specific behavior problems?
    Absolutely! We address a range of behavioral issues, including separation anxiety, reactivity, excessive barking, and more. We work with many behavioral issues and will develop a customized plan tailored to your dog’s needs during the consultation.
  • How long are training sessions, and how many will my dog need?
    Training sessions are one hour long and typically held weekly, depending on the program. The number of sessions may vary, depending on factors like your dog’s age, behavior, and your consistency at home. A projected number of classes is discussed during the consultation.
  • Do I need to participate in the training sessions?
    Absolutely! Owner participation is required to ensure success and continuity even after training ends.
  • What methods do you use in your training?
    We use balanced training methods that are realistic and ensure results, focusing on teaching owners how to maintain consistency at home.
  • What do I need to bring to a training session?
    We’ll discuss specific needs during your consultation, but you’ll primarily need to bring your dog, and a willingness to learn!
  • Where are the training sessions held?
    Training takes place in your home or in real-life environments like parks and public spaces to address specific challenges.
  • Do you offer virtual or in-home training options?
    We currently focus on in-home and real-world training environments to ensure your dog thrives in everyday situations.
  • What’s the difference between daycare and boarding?
    Daycare is for the day, with dogs returning home in the evening. Boarding includes one or multiple overnight stays.
  • What does a typical day look like for dogs in your care?
    A typical day includes supervised indoor and outdoor playtime, socialization, mental stimulation, and rest to keep dogs balanced and happy.
  • Are there specific hours for daycare and boarding drop-off and pick-up?
    Yes, daycare drop-off begins at 7 a.m., and the latest pick-up time is 6 p.m. Boarding drop-offs run between 3 p.m.-7 p.m. and pick-ups between 7a.m.-12p.m.
  • What happens if I am late picking up my dog from daycare?
    There will be a late pick-up fee of $10 between 6:30p.m.-7 p.m. for daycare. Pick-ups after 7:00p.m. are considered overnight boarding, and the standard boarding fee will apply.
  • What happens if I drop off my dog early or pick them up late from boarding?
    Early drop-offs between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. are $15, and before 11:00 a.m. are $25. Late pick-ups between 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. are $15, and between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., they are $25. Drop-offs before 7:00 a.m. or pick-ups after 6:00 p.m. will be charged as an additional boarding night.
  • Are all dogs accepted for day care and boarding?
    For safety reasons, a meet and greet is required for all first-time daycare or boarding clients to ensure the dog is a good fit for the group environment. We cannot accept dogs with severe aggression or behavioural issues, but they are welcome to sign up for private training.
  • Can I book daycare or boarding for two dogs from the same household?
    Absolutely! We offer a discount for the second dog when booking for two dogs from the same household.
  • What if my dog has special needs or medical requirements?
    We’re happy to accommodate special diets, medications, or specific routines. These are discussed during the meet and greet.
  • How do you ensure dogs get along with each other?
    All dogs are assessed during the meet-and-greet to determine temperament and ensure compatibility. Solitary dogs can enjoy a tailored experience in the Dog Oasis with separate outings and personalized care.
  • Do you provide updates on my dog during their stay?
    Yes, you can request updates at any time via photos, videos, or messages. FaceTime updates are available at an additional cost.
  • Is the facility safe and supervised?
    Yes, our facility is fully secure, and all dogs are closely monitored to ensure a safe environment for play and rest.
  • What should I bring when boarding my dog?
    Please bring your dog’s food, any medications with clear instructions, and their favorite blanket or toy for comfort. We provide bedding, toys, bowls, and plenty of care.
  • What happens if my plans change—can I cancel or reschedule?
    Daycare cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice, and boarding cancellations require 48 hours. Late cancellations may incur fees: half of the day’s rate for daycare and half of the stay’s rate for boarding if canceled within 24-48 hours. Same-day cancellations are charged in full.
  • What topics are covered in your workshops/seminars?
    Each workshop focuses on a specific dog-related topic, such as body language, behavior, or training techniques.
  • Who are these workshops/seminars designed for?
    Workshops are open to anyone interested in learning more, including new and soon-to-be dog owners, dog trainers, daycare workers, and more!
  • Can I bring my dog to the workshop?
    No, participants are not to bring their dogs, as the workshops are designed to focus on the information for attendees.
  • How long do the workshops/seminars last?
    Workshops typically run between 60-90 minutes.
  • What is the cost of attending a workshop/seminar?
    The cost ranges from $40 to $60, depending on the topic and format.
  • Do I need any prior experience or knowledge to attend?
    No prior experience is needed! Everyone is welcome.
  • Are your workshops/seminars interactive?
    Yes! Participation and interaction will make the experience more engaging and beneficial.
  • Will I receive any materials or resources to take home?
    Yes, depending on the workshop, you may receive helpful resources or materials.
  • How do I register for a workshop/seminar?
    When a workshop is announced on my online platforms, you can register by messaging or emailing me.
  • Do you offer private or custom workshops for groups?
    Feel free to reach out if you’d like to discuss a private or customized workshop.
  • What is your cancellation or refund policy for workshops?
    Workshops are non-refundable, so please ensure your availability before registering.
  • Where are the workshops/seminars held?
    Workshops may be held online, in person, or available in both formats, depending on the topic.
  • How do I book a service?
    You can book a service by contacting us via phone, email, or through our online platforms. We recommend booking early, especially for day care, boarding and workshops, as availability can be limited.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
    We require 24 hours’ notice for daycare cancellations or rescheduling of training sessions. For boarding, cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. If a cancellation is made within 24 hours, a fee of half the day/training session is charged. Same-day cancellations are expected to be paid in full. If boarding is cancelled within 48 hours, half of the stay is expected to be paid.
  • Do you offer discounts for multiple dogs or repeat clients?
    Yes, we offer discounts on multiple-day bookings, multi-dog households, and loyalty discounts for our valued clients. Contact us for more details.
  • Can I visit the facility before booking?
    Yes! Before booking for daycare or boarding, every pet-parent has to have a meet and greet with us! This is the perfect time to visit our facility and see the environment where your dog will be staying and cared for.
